Many companies can benefit from relationship marketing because of the need for repeat business. Reliance on word of mouth to consistently bring customers and consumers to use their services is not a new thing; it is the basis of business since the dawn of time.  Relationship marketing will always be one of the most important tools for companies like because it is providing a service to its customers and consumers. It that service is consistently delivered and the quality of the service is consistently sustained the people that use and appreciate the service will continue to return and will continue to promote the service to their peers.

However, if the relationships between companies and their customers and consumers ever become strained they risk losing not just one customer but possibly many due to just one poor display of service. The need for consistent high quality relationship marketing for a company is crucial. It keeps the customer happy and reminds them of the face-to-face or other form of interaction they have had with the company in a positive way.

It is important to maintain a high level of relationship marketing because it is as much about it being useful as a service to the company and its customers also it is consistently being rated as an experience. Just how well do your employees build that relationship with your customers? Next time you meet one on the street ask them how they rate their last experience with an employee.

Trending Now

Look! New Celebrity Gossip, Hip New Trends. Oh Wait the title is Trending Now already.

by Rhydon Atzenhoffer

Every time you look at the yahoo homepage you see the box in the top right that says, "trending now". No let me ask you, exactly how do those things become the trendy thing of the moment. Because honestly it is hard to resist looking at at least one of the topics. Undoubtedly one of the ten things that are trendy at the moment will perk some sort of interest.

And the topics can be anything. It could be the newest super car to hit the world stage, you just see a confounding name and want to click it. It could be a name, most likely a celebrity that is prone to getting in the lime light in all the wrong ways, that you just have to click on to see just what they did this time. Lindsey Lohan, anyone? It could be the most recent winner of the Superbowl,
Champions League, and World Series etc.

The point of all this is that who decides what is trendy. In most cases the stuff that is trending now, you never have a clue why it’s there. I guess it is one more way of internet marketing; no publicity is bad publicity so they say. In that light internet marketing has become so vital to today's business world. No longer do many businesses pump money into newspaper print ads but more now since big bucks into online advertising. It is quicker and easier to type in a search bar than to walk out into the driveway and pick up a newspaper.

Yes I said it, we Americans are lazy people, and the advertising world has caught on. We get blitzed by advertising every day on the web and half the time we are completely negligent to the mental notes we make and take in. You may think you are skimming through but subconsciously you always pull of most of the advertising pictures and implant them in our brain.

So the next time you reach for a Budweiser, a pack of Orbit, or a Sneakers Bar, remember where your newest connection to the product is coming from. In most cases, thank the web.

Red Bull and Cinnamon Bun

A New Holiday Treat, or Old School Meeting

by Rhydon Atzenhoffer

Ah, the holiday season moving towards its peak of Christmas. I have to admit the rain outside makes this seem like a second straight Monday. The weeks after holidays always seem to be drained and full of monotony and gloom to me this time of year. You get so excited about holidays, or about them being over, that you burn out before the week even starts most of the time.

Spring holidays like Easter always seem to pep you up more because the weather is changing and the colors are coming out. Fall and Winter holidays, though much more exciting in and of themselves, also are accompanied mostly with colder weather and not much color at all. The warmth of family and friends can help to brighten it all, but in the end we all end up feeling like we need a holiday from the holidays.

So in response to this feeling of exhaustion I turn to an old remedy left over from my college days. A Tuesday morning Red Bull and a Cinnamon Bun. How I contrived this concoction of canned energy and sugar I cannot remember. I believe it was perhaps one morning on the way to class at Western Carolina University. Early morning business classes did not always mix well with a thirty minute commute started at 6:30am.

Then once I sit here and begin to enjoy the old combination I sit back and realize just what a feat of product branding it is that Red Bull has become as massive of a company as they have. Talk about grabbing a market by the horns, no pun intended. From small energy drink company to owning American and European based soccer teams, race car teams, countless sponsorship deals spreading the brand even farther around the globe as I write and you read.

It makes you wonder what those guys sit and think about. Have they even thought of the combination of a Red Bull and a Cinnamon Bun? Have they considered the idea of Red Bull pastries? Why did they attempt to make Red Bull Cola, yuck, seems like pastries might be a better way to go? In the end it brings to mind even more questions than answers, but I know one thing. This Red Bull and Cinnamon Bun sure helped to kick start my day, and I hope you have a great one too.
